Sunday is Family Day, the perfect time for a family get together after church — maybe to taste a variety of chilies or to sit on blankets while enjoying the entertainment, or to just roam the festival grounds for bargains and brunch.
Now about those new activities I was talking about:
1) The Arts & Crafts area between the incoming bridge and
The Circle will be open all three days for the first time.
2) There will be an Antique Car Show in the parking lot behind Sabores on Saturday, and aJeep Show there Sunday. Both will be open from noon to 5pm (EST).
3) The Festival Teen Club will be in operation Friday and Saturday nights from 7-11 p.m.
We are VERY excited about the plans for the Teen Club, as the Festival Committee has always felt we needed more activities for the ages: 13-18 at the River Cities Festival. Not this time!
****Parents will be able to leave their kids at the Festival Teen Club at the west end of Canal Street without worry. There will be security, music to teens’ liking, and an area to mix and dance.
There will be an entrance fee and strict age restrictions. The Festival Teen Club will ensure the teenagers have a private, yet secure, place to go Friday and Saturday night. It is being designed by teenagers and will be a great addition to the River Cities Festival.
This is your first warning, but there will be many more on the pages of this newspaper before April 21. The River Cities Festival is on the way!
We look forward to seeing everyone there for an AMAZING TIME!! If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact us at: 786.262.4616 or 305.887.1234!!!
